Samsung Charging Port Repair: Cost & Diagnosis (2026)
Before booking, try these quick checks — many charging issues are cable or debris related.
Quick diagnosis
- Try a different USB-C cable — cables fail more often than ports.
- Clean the port with a wooden toothpick to remove lint.
- Try wireless charging (if your model supports it) — if wireless works but wired doesn't, the port is the issue.
- Restart the phone.

What the repair involves
On most modern Samsungs, the USB-C port is soldered to the logic board — making it more technically involved than on older phones. We use specialist tools to desolder the damaged port and fit a replacement without disturbing surrounding components. Repair time: typically 2–3 hours.
Repair vs replace?
If your Samsung is under 3 years old and otherwise working well, a charging port repair at £70–£90 is almost always better value than a new device.
