      Pixel model names matter

      Find Model under Settings > About phone and use that detail in the finder. Do not choose Pixel 7 work for a Pixel 7a, or a Pro display for the standard phone. The available repair choices are shown against the exact model.

      Pixel 8 lines or flickering

      Google has an extended repair programme for certain Pixel 8 devices with a vertical display line or flickering. Eligibility depends on Google's checks and the device condition. Check that route before paying for an independent repair; similar symptoms alone do not establish eligibility. If your Pixel is not eligible, Square Repair can assess it and offer an independent repair. Same-day fitting depends on the exact repair and parts being in stock.

      Pixel 7a battery swelling: check Google first

      Google offers an extended programme for eligible Pixel 7a devices affected by battery swelling, including qualifying UK devices. Coverage is for three years from the original retail purchase, subject to its checks. Check Google eligibility before paying for an independent replacement. Contact us before bringing a swollen device; do not post it. If your Pixel is not eligible, Square Repair can assess it and offer an independent repair.       Fingerprint checks after screen work

      Display replacement and fingerprint set-up are related but separate checks. Tell us if the reader already fails before repair. We agree the checks possible with your access preferences. A factory reset is not part of our normal hardware repairs as standard; any required reset must be discussed beforehand.

      Is a Pixel 8 programme repair carried out by Square Repair?

      Do not assume that it is. Google's programme uses its own eligibility and repair route. Our listed Pixel repairs are separate services. If your device is not eligible, ask us about an independent repair and its current parts timing.

      How are Pixel Fold screens covered?

      Folding inner displays carry a 3-month repair warranty; outer cover displays carry 12 months. They are separate choices and foldables do not receive walk-in Express.

      Can I book for a Pixel that will not charge?

      Use the exact model and explain the charging behaviour. Select a confirmed charging-port repair or request diagnosis if the cause is not established.

      Could Google cover a swollen Pixel 7a battery?

      Some affected Pixel 7a devices qualify for Google’s extended programme, including eligible UK devices, within three years of original retail purchase. Google checks eligibility and condition. Check its programme before paying for an independent repair; contact us before bringing a swollen device and do not post it. If your device is not eligible, ask us about an independent repair and its current parts timing.

      Will my Pixel be reset just to replace the screen?

      A reset is not included in our normal screen repairs as standard. Back up first and discuss fingerprint set-up and testing access before the repair. If the fault requires software work or a reset, the data implications need to be agreed separately.

      Does the Pixel a-series use the same display as the standard model?

      No repair should be selected on that assumption. Pixel 7 and 7a, for example, have separate model routes. Keep the a, Pro or folding-model designation when selecting the service, and read its current repair options.
