How to Use Reachability on iPhone
Reachability slides the screen down so you can tap things at the top without stretching. Here's how to enable and use it.
Enable Reachability
Settings → Accessibility → Touch → Toggle Reachability on.
Face ID iPhones (iPhone X and later)
Swipe down on the very bottom edge of the screen (where the home indicator bar is). The screen slides down halfway. Tap what you need, then tap the upper half to dismiss — or wait a few seconds.
Touch ID iPhones (iPhone 8 and earlier)
Lightly double-tap (don't press) the Home button. Screen slides down. Tap upper area to dismiss.
Bonus: one-handed keyboard
Long-press the globe or emoji icon on the keyboard → choose left or right hand layout.
Bonus: Back Tap shortcut
Settings → Accessibility → Touch → Back Tap — assign Reachability to a double or triple tap on the back of your iPhone. No need to swipe at the bottom edge.
