A1238 alone does not distinguish Classic generations. If details are missing or disagree, choose diagnosis and model confirmation before ordering.
Battery options
Our standard replacement batteries are labelled 3.7V / 850mAh rechargeable lithium-polymer. We use thin-case and thick-case versions to suit the device. The difference is physical fit; the thicker version does not promise extra capacity or longer runtime.
Interested in a larger battery? Ask us about battery upgrades alongside your flash-storage conversion. Options depend on your iPod and the space available inside. A replacement back cover may be required; some existing thick cases may have enough room. We’ll confirm compatibility, capacity and price before proceeding. A larger battery or replacement back cover is not included in the standard battery service.
Your data
This repair does not normally require a factory reset. Back up your data before any repair. A storage conversion is a separate service and requires resyncing your library.
