MacBook 12" Core M A1534 (2015–2017) Charger Port Repair
Compatible models: A1534, EMC 2746, 2764, 2991, 3099
The MacBook 12-inch A1534 has a single USB-C port that handles everything: charging, data transfer and video output. There is no other way to connect the machine to power or to external devices. When this port develops a fault, the machine cannot charge at all and all accessory connectivity is lost simultaneously. A repair restores full function across charging, data and display output through the same port.
- Turnaround: Same day where possible, subject to stock and workload
- 12-month warranty on the repair
- Walk-in near Liverpool Street Station or use our UK mail-in service

How to confirm your model
Go to Apple Menu > About This Mac > System Report > Hardware Overview and check the model identifier.
This repair covers: A1534, EMC 2746, 2764, 2991, 3099.
The MacBook 12-inch has exactly one USB-C port, located on the left side of the machine. It is not possible to charge from another port or to use a different physical connection if this port fails. Bring the machine in if you are seeing any intermittent charging behaviour, and we will assess whether the port or the cable is the cause before confirming the repair.
Before you book
- Try a different cable and power adapter before booking. A faulty cable can mimic a port fault
- If the fault appeared after liquid exposure, a water damage diagnosis is recommended first
- If the MacBook charges fine but battery life is very poor, a battery replacement may be more appropriate
- If there is visible debris in the port, we will clean it as part of the assessment before confirming the repair needed
