The iPad 10th Gen (2022) has separate glass/touch and LCD repair routes. This service replaces the LCD image panel; it does not include replacement of the front glass or touchscreen. If both are damaged, we confirm the additional work and price before proceeding.
A full LCD replacement addresses display faults such as lines, dead pixels, discolouration, or a completely black screen. If the outer glass is cracked but the display panel is still functioning correctly, a glass touchscreen repair may be the more appropriate and cost-effective solution.
When is a full LCD replacement needed?
Not all screen damage requires a full LCD replacement. If the display itself is functioning correctly and only the outer glass is cracked, a glass touchscreen repair may be sufficient. An LCD replacement is needed when the display panel is damaged.
- Lines, bands, or blocks of colour across the screen
- Dead pixels or patches of discolouration that do not move

- Black screen with the device powered on and responsive to touch
- Dim display or significant brightness loss that cannot be corrected in Settings

- If you are unsure whether you need a glass repair or full LCD replacement, we will advise as part of the free assessment
- If the frame is bent, the new screen may not align perfectly. We will advise before proceeding
- If the device is completely non-functional, we recommend a diagnosis first
- If we discover water damage during your repair that affects the work, we will stop and let you know. A water damage diagnosis is applicable at the current fee, and we will confirm this with you before we proceed.

How do I know which repair I need?
If the display shows lines, dead pixels, or a black screen, an LCD replacement is needed. If the glass is cracked but the display looks correct and touch still works, a glass repair may be sufficient. If you are unsure, bring the device in and we will assess it at no charge.
Does Touch ID (in the power button) still work after a display replacement?
Touch ID (in the power button) is tested as part of the post-repair process. If it was working before the display was damaged, it should continue to work after the replacement.
Can I walk in without an appointment?
Yes. Walk-in customers are welcome at Spaces House, 35 New Broad Street during opening hours. Booking ahead is recommended for repair confirmation.
What warranty does the LCD replacement come with?
Every LCD display replacement carries a 12-month warranty from the date of repair, covering the fitted LCD panel and workmanship.
